about

This song was re-recorded on my 2008 CD 'Acoustic Disposition'.
It is the biography of a loner, and of an honest man.

lyrics

The Outcast
Denes McIntosh

He was all alone
not because he chose to be
but he was born to see things differently.
He was fully grown
at an age when most young men
most young men could not begin to be.

The ladies loved him
he told the truth to them
something they had never known before.
He gave them dignity
not like the other men
who made them all to be domestic whores.

Chorus:
And he was an outcast
and he was an honest man
and he would outlast
those who would not understand.
And he was a rebel
but not without a cause
sing a song for honesty
cause there’s been none since he’s gone.

He went his own way
they talked behind his back
but could not face him.
Until that final day
‘the last great heart attack’
they could not break him.

Chorus:
Sing a song for justice.
Sing a song for love.
