Billy slumped down low in his chair
nursing his depression like you'd wear
your finest suit for everybody to see

give em a drum and a wooden spoon to bang with.
They couldn't cope with societies stuff
they lose their homes and we lend em a buck
it's a wonder that we don't just give em a rope to hang with.

Benny sits and swears at the wall
angry at the way the dice fall
give the man another med, it'll settle him down.

Lucy likes to stay up all night
sittin' on her bed with no light
talkin' to herself without makin' a sound.
