about

A call to service, a call to sacrifice.

This song was re-recorded by Shiloh on our 1977 album, "Confession", produced by Terry Talbot (Lamb and Lion Records #1033). However, he changed the chorus, and retitled the song "Pick Me Up". I never really appreciated that he did that. I like this version.

lyrics

Power From on High
Denes McIntosh

He's changing me
I've been growing day by day
but I've never been this way before.
He's changing me
in a deep and lasting way
I asked Him, "Lord, let me give you more"?

Chorus:
He's movin' in my life
I've given up the fight
I won't stand in His way again
He's moving by His Holy Spirit
I no longer have to fear  it now
I know He wants to send

Power from on High
a rushing mighty wind
flaming tongues of fire
before he comes again
redemption draweth nigh
so lift up your head
we haven't got much time
before He comes again.

He's lookin' for a few good men
He can depend upon to entrust His power
He's lookin' for a few good friends who'll stand again
like Stephen stood in his final hour.

Chorus:
Is He movin’ in your life?
Have you given up the fight?
will you stand in His way again?
Is He movin' by his Holy Spirit?
You no longer have to fear it now
you know He wants to send.

Power from on High
a rushing mighty wind
flaming tongues of fire
before he comes again
redemption draweth nigh
so lift up your head
we haven't got much time
before He comes again.
