Living in appreciation of the blessings of God.

Although I wrote this song, I had my partner, Mike, sing it. After writing it I realized I couldn't do the intricate finger-picking and sing it well at the same time. It worked for Mike to sing it because he had a warm identification with the song anyway.

Morning holds the promise that a new day is upon us
for the purpose of the glory of the son
The gentle breezes seem to whisper sacred reasons
why my Jesus poured his precious love on everyone.
The silence of the summer sky serves somehow to remind me
of the wonder of the one god up above
The calm and quiet country side helps make me conscious of the time
I'm spending in the comfort of his love.

and rejoice before your throne

my two feet are bound to roam

Yesterday has come and gone, tomorrows in the makin'
and today I'm livin’ freely in his grace
Lookin’ for the moment when I'll see his kind and lovin’ eyes
and look upon his bright and shining face
The joy that only Jesus gives just keeps on growing stronger
as I walk a little longer by his side.
And the blessings that He brings to me
begin to be the things that he has wanted to bestow
for quite some time.
